Shower and Changing Rooms Update

Hi everyone,

Please see a message from our House Chairman with regards to the reopening of the changing rooms and shower.

Dear Members,

There has been quite a few members asking about when the showers and changing rooms will be open, so I can now inform you that we will be opening the showers and changing rooms on Wednesday 28th July 2021. There will be safety restrictions in place that will need to be adhered to and it will be monitored by myself and Andy Breen. If the following rules are broken, then we will close the showers again.

The following rules must be followed for the ground floor showers and changing rooms,

- 6 people maximum in changing room at any one time. (2 people changing to leave, 2 people in shower, 2 people getting changed to shower)
- If 6 people in already then you must wait outside and enter on a 1 out 1 in basis.
- You will need to have played squash, racketball, tennis, or bowls; you cannot just turn up to shower if - you have not played.
- You have 30 minutes from the end of your court to be showered and changed and out of changing rooms to be fair to the people coming of the courts after you.
- There will be blue towel roll and sanitising spray in the changing rooms, you must wipe down the shower you used and the seat you used before leaving changing rooms and put blue towel in the bins provided.

The following rules must be followed for the 2nd floor shower and changing rooms,

- 12 people maximum in changing room at any one time. (4 people changing to leave, 4 people in showers, 4 people getting changed to shower.
- If 12 people already in then you must go to other changing side of partition and wait your turn. You will need to stay 2 meters apart whilst waiting.
- There will be no time limit to how long you can stay in showers but if there is a queue forming then common sense should be applied.
This will be monitored by myself and M.Jackson and also a nominee from rugby TBC.

There will be blue towel roll and disinfectant in the changing rooms, you must wipe down the shower you used and the seat you used before leaving changing rooms and put blue towel in the bins provided.

I hope this will meet with the approval of the members and that your co-operation in this matter is much appreciated. If all goes well then, we can look at opening the sauna at the earliest opportunity.
