Liverpool Cricket Club - Squash

Hi all,
Firstly, thank you all for your support since returning to play after our court closures, it’s been great to see the courts busy again and all members following the guidelines to keep everyone safe.
Just wanted to update you all with a few things as we continue to try and return to normal.
Squash Bubbles
So far we have about 15 ‘squash bubbles’ with over 90 people involved.
I am aware that there might be a number of members who are struggling to form a bubble so if you are looking for people to play drop me an e-mail and I will try and group people together and see if we can form some new bubbles.
Court Bookings
The uptake of our free courts was brilliant. However, we are moving back to normal on Monday and to allow us to try and utilise the court times as much as possible bookings will still be made through me. So to book a court:
1. E-mail me with your preferred day and time.
2. Include the names of all people using the court - so I can include on our Track and Trace system.
3. I will then accommodate you to as close to the time you want as possible.
4. I will then book a court on your behalf via the MyCourts system so your account is debited for the court.
5. I will send a court booking confirmation e-mail each morning. Please refer to this for your booking time and not the time assigned to you on the MyCourts system.
Updated Covid-19 Guidelines
With the new Government restrictions please see below an e-mail from our House Chairman with regards to new guidelines when coming to the club.
Thanks
Breeny

Dear Members
As you will have heard there are new government guidelines and restrictions in place not only for England but there are additional guidelines for Merseyside. This means we will have to refine our procedures at the club both for playing members and social members.
With effect from today, there will be only one access door into the club and that is the main entrance. Please do not access via the balcony. You must sign in or use the QR code which we will be implementing soon to meet our obligations to the track and trace system.
Until seated or on court you will be required to wear a mask whilst walking around the club to the balcony area for smoking or accessing the toilets for example. We will be offering TABLE SERVICE ONLY until further notice from the government – please do not approach the bar.
As the club is a covid- safe premises you are permitted to meet with people outside of your household or support bubble as long as the group does not exceed six and all club other guidance and procedures are followed.
As this is new territory for all of us as members or staff, we ask that you please be patient whilst we refine our procedures to ensure that we are all as safe as we can be whilst socialising or playing sport here – it may take a little longer to be served but we will be trying our best. If we all comply then hopefully we can return to some sort of normality sooner than later.
Bar opening times this week:
Monday, Thursday, Friday 5.00 till close
Saturday, Sunday 12.00 till close
Last orders will be at the managers discretion as members must be off the premises by 10.00 p.m.
One final word, we really do appreciate your support during these very trying times and we hope that you do continue to do so through what looks like a very tricky autumn and winter season. But remember you must be off the premises by 10.00 p.m. until further notice.
Thanks again and stay safe
Regards
Simon McKie
