Ways to Play update

Hi all,

As many of you may have already seen, England Squash have released Phase 2 for our Return to Squash.

There are a lot of new guidelines which the club and I have been reviewing - with the courts currently closed, we thought it best not to rush in disseminating the information.

Attached is a copy of the guidance for you to review in full however I have summarised the main points below:-

Squash Bubbles
The good news is that there is the option to play full games as long as members form ’Squash Bubbles’.

What is a 'Squash Bubble’?
- Squash bubbles consist of a maximum of six players from different households.
- Players within a ’squash bubble’ are permitted to play full-court matches with enhanced hygiene protocols.

How to form a Squash Bubble?
To form a Squash Bubble, you will need to e-mail me at breen_drew@hotmail.com and include the names of the (up to) six players within your proposed bubble.

Please note, you can only be part of one squash bubble and these will not be permitted to change for two weeks (as decided by the club management).

Once you have sent me details of your squash bubble, I will send a group e-mail to the bubble seeking written confirmation that you agree to stay in this squash bubble until further notice.

Booking a court

As we are doing at the minute, all bookings will continue to be made through myself. To book a court:

1. E-mail breen_drew@hotmail.com with the date and time you would like.
2. State whether you would like a 40 minute court or an hour court.
3. You must either state whether you are booking the court for solo use or name your opponent.
4. I will then try and accommodate your bookings as best I can for the time you have requested.
5. As a reminder we must keep a 15 minute gap between bookings.
6. Please try to book at least a day in advance as - I know it might shock you all - I do actually work so I might not see requests on the day if I am coaching a lot.

Club Hygiene
As we have already been implementing, please adhere to the following to keep everyone safe:
1. DO NOT come to the club if you or anyone in your household feels unwell.
2. Sanitise your hands upon entering the building.
3. Please refrain from handshakes or physical contact throughout your session.
4. You must stop playing after your allotted time to allow the court to ‘rest’ before the next booking.
5. At the end of your game please leave the court and squash corridor immediately.
6. As you exit, please sanitise your hands and then clean all touch points, most importantly the door handles and surrounding area.

Any questions about this process or getting back on to court just get in touch with me.

Thanks
Breeny
