Tier 3 - Local Lockdown restrictions and court closures
Hi everywhere,
Sorry for the delay in getting an update out to you all but the club have not had a lot of time to try and digest the new Tier 3 lockdown guidance and we wanted to explore all possible avenues that might allow some form of squash to continue at the club (and I got drunk tonight!!!)
However, I am devastated to have to inform you that as of Wednesday 14th October, the club will be closed until further notice.
As guidance was slowly updated today, it became clear that all gyms, leisure centres and sporting facilities across Merseyside are being forced to close.
We will be continuously checking local restrictions and review the club’s position as and when things change so we can hopefully get back on court as soon as possible.
It has been awesome to see so many people back on our squash courts over the last few months and it just goes to show what an amazing and vibrant squash and racketball club we have at LCC.
We really do hope we get back on court again soon as I know what a massive part squash plays in many of our lives.
I will be looking to at starting some online fitness sessions again ASAP and maybe even some outdoor sessions at the club!!
In the meantime, LCC and the squash and racketball section would like to thank you for your ongoing support through such a challenging time.
So in the words of Jordan Belfort (Wolf of Wall Street) - ‘I’m not f@!*&£g leaving, the show goes on!!!’
