Club Opening - Monday 12th April
Hi everyone,
So thankfully Boris gave us good news on Monday and there is no delay in opening the club on Monday 12th April.
However, as usual, there are restrictions and guidance that we have to follow until the next update on 17th May. So please see below and e-mail from our House Chairman, Si McKie.
I will send a court opening mesage now as well :)

Dear members,
I hope you are all well and ready for stage 2 of restrictions being lifted. It gives me pleasure to bring you some good news hopefully a good tonic (mines with gin please) to lift your moral.
As you are probably aware pubs/bars/restaurants can open for outdoor service and we have planned to do just that. We have fitted clear tarpaulins to extend balcony roof in bad weather but can roll away in good weather, we have also fitted electric heaters on the balcony which will remove any chill there is, but I’ve sent my letter to the sun gods for glorious sun so let’s see if they oblige. We will have 6 tables that can be reserved and then the rest will be allocated on arrival. We will also have the seating looking over the cricket pitch.
The bar opening hours are as follows:
Monday 12th April 5pm – 9pm
Tuesday 13th April Closed
Wednesday 14th April Closed
Thursday 15th April 5pm – 9pm
Friday 16th April 5pm – 9pm
Saturday 17th April 12pm – 9pm
Sunday 18th April 12pm – 3pm (will extend opening if busy).
On another note as of Monday 12th April we will also be able to open the squash courts for 1 to 1 coaching, solo practice, same households can play together. This will be strictly monitored and courts will have to be booked through Andy Breen. The first court will be at 9am and the last court will be 8pm, and you will need to be out of building at 9pm the same time as the bar closes. At this time the shower/changing rooms will remain closed so you should come dressed to play and leave as soon as possible after your court time has finished unless you need to top up your fluid levels in the outside area of the bar.
I look forward to seeing as many of you at the club as possible to enjoy a drink or 3.
Simon Mckie
