Me again :)
I have been in discussions with the club management given the regrettable court closures due to Lancashire Cricket using the club.
In a normal year, such closures would have been easily accepted as an essential part of club business. However, within a month of the club re-opening post-COVID19, it has obviously been a pretty tough time for us squash players having to put our rackets on hold again!
As a squash committee, we are fully behind the decision the club has made and although frustrating, welcoming Lancashire Cricket is something the club can simply not turn down from a financial perspective for this year and next.
The club management have agreed though that this has understandably had negative consequences for our members.
We have therefore come to the agreement that as a way of ‘compensation’, members will be able to book courts free of charge from Monday 14th September until Sunday 27th September.
As always, the booking system rules will be applied to all bookings and bookings must be made as highlighted in my previous e-mail.
Booking Rules
1. Court bookings can only be made 7 days in advance - I will only accept bookings made within this time frame. If you try to book a court earlier than 7 days in advance it will not be accepted.
2. Members can only have 4 active bookings at one time.
3. Members can not book free back-to-back sessions - if you wish to do this, you will be charged for one booking.
