Message from our House Chairman

Hi all,

Please see an e-mail from our House Chariman, Simon Mckie, with regards to our player guidelines. I fully support Simon's thoughts and I am as disappointed as him that members have already not adhererd to the guidelines we have clearly outlined on a number of occasions.

Hi Andy,

It saddens me to write this email after all the hard work you and I have done over the last month in order that we can open up the squash courts for the members. It has been brought to my attention that ON DAY 1, members are not adhering to the rules that allow and govern the ability to open the courts. Rules clearly state the ways in which squash and squash 57 can be played i.e no full games unless in the same household which was not adhered to by certain people.

As a director of the club, I will not allow the safety of the club staff and other members to be compromised by the few, so I urge you section members to follow the rules and help keep everybody safe.

With the above in mind I have am introducing a two strike and out rule. This means that anybody caught breaking rules of play will be warned and then the second time they will not be allowed to use courts.

In the event that rules continue to be broken I WILL SHUT down the courts and they will remain shut until such time as I feel it is appropriate to reopen them safely. This is not what I want, but I will do it to protect the club and staff.

Kind regards
Simon Mckie
